Cake Balls!

I've been wanting to do some baking while I'm on summer vacation and I decided I'd start with some cake balls.  I'd never made them before and wanted to try something new.  I used a red velvet recipe I found on Bakerella.  She has many cute cake ball and cake pop ideas.  I'm pretty happy with how they turned out.  They aren't beautiful, but they are delicious!  Next time I'm going to try some cake pops and see how they turn out.  Before that, I'm going to try a new vanilla bean cake recipe I found online... sounds delicious.

Happy Father's Day

We had a very nice and relaxing Father's Day.  We started the day off with breakfast at Grandy's, because it's Daddy's favorite.  Then, while Emma and I went to go spend some time with family in Denton, Daddy stayed home and relaxed (played video games).  When Emma and I got home, Daddy got to open his cards and gifts and we ended the evening with dinner at Red Lobster.  The crab legs were delicious!!

Hello, friends and family!  As you all know, Lance and I were blessed with our sweet Emma on December 1st.  We thought this would be a great way for us to keep everyone up to date on what's going on with "ourlilfam" and for you to join us in watching Emma learn and grow, because it's happening way too fast.
